School News:
A New Principal for DES· Since Mrs. Thibaudeau will
be retiring at the end of this school year, a Principal Search
Committee is being formed by the School Board. All interested
parents/community members are invited to attend an organizational
meeting to hear about the process, compile criteria you want for a
principal, and learn about the anticipated timeline. A committee of
8-10 people will be formed to include 2-3 school staff, an Assistant
Superintendent, 2 school Board members, 2 parents, and 1-2
community members. The parents and community members will be selected
that night by lottery from those who attend and can commit to the
hiring timeline. This meeting will be held on January 16th @ 7:00 pm in
the school library. For more information, contact one of the School
