Old Home Day Pie Baking Contest
September 13, 2008
If you are an amateur chef who loves to bake, the Dunbarton Public Library is offering you the opportunity to try your skill and luck. Enter our Pie Baking Contest which will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 13.
The
Rules:
1. The pie must be homemade.
2. A contestant may enter more than one pie.
3. Creativity and original ideas are encouraged.
4. The recipe, including ingredients, must be included in the entry.
5. The pie must be presented in a non-returnable pan. After judging, pies will be sold by the slice and funds will be donated to the Library.
6.
Pies
should be brought to the
Library between noon and 1:30 pm on Saturday. Each entry will be
assigned a
number.
7. There will be 3 judged age groups:
a. Ages 16 years and older
b. Ages 11 to 15 unassisted
c. Ages 6 to 11 assisted
8. Winners will be announced at 3 pm.
9. Application forms will be available at the Library beginning September 9, or will be available via e-mail during that period.
10. Judging will be based on overall appearance, creativity, crust color, flavor, texture, filling quality and doneness.

I have read and accepted the rules for the 2008 Old Home Day Pie Baking Contest. My pie will be delivered to the Dunbarton Public Library on Saturday, September 13, 2008 between 12 noon and 1:30 pm.
Please return entry form in person or via mail to the Dunbarton Public Library. You may also return the form at the time of pie delivery.
